Horrible Gift Card Service June 1, 2010

I have to admit that I love Old Chicago's! The pizza's fabulous, the 110 beer tour is a great challenge, and I have never been disappointed with the service. However, I bought this gift card for a birthday gift and when the recipient received it and used it at the restaurant; they were told there wasn't a balance. Now, $25 isn't a lot, but its the principal. I look like a horrible gift giver because I sent them to a restaurant thinking they'll get a great meal at a good price, but they instead, ended up paying for all of it! I called the seller's number to see what they can do to replace it and have yet to receive a response. I was told it would be 48hrs to 72hrs and it in fact has been a week. I called to find out the status, and they said it's still being processed. No phone call or e-mail to say the order is still being worked on- I had to call them. I've now been told it's another 48hrs to get a call back; meanwhile the birthday gift is a month late....and counting. If you're looking for a gift card to a great restaurant, I'd do one for Old Chicago's- I just wouldn't buy it from giftcardmall!
